Late 19th Century Rustic East Asian Wooden Prayer Bench heavy 20" x 21" x 41"Antique low wooden bench with shaped apron. Handcrafted East Asian vernacular bench featuring a single plank top over splayed round legs joined by mortise and tenon stretchers. The shaped apron with scrolled brackets exemplifies regional craftsmanship. Exhibiting a well worn original finish, the bench was designed for versatile household use, from seating to kneeling at a domestic altar or shrine. Bench is in good condition with age appropriate wear.
